Spaghetti alla Puttanesca


  • Spaghetti

  • olives

  • tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes

  • capers

  • anchovies

  • garlic clove

  • parsley (for decorating)

  • chili powder

To make the Puttanesca sauce, start with chopping the garlic. Put a little of olive oil in a large pan and add the chopped garlic. Add about 5 or 6 anchovies fillets and let them melt in the pan.

Once the anchovies are melted add tomato sauce, chili powder, capers (rinse before to get rid of excess salt) and olives. Let cook for at least 10 minutes.

While the sauce is cooking boil pasta. When this is ”al dente”,  drain from the cooking water and add it to the pan with the sauce. Mix well and serve. Decorate with chopped parsley.
